Edible images are images printed with edible ink onto edible icing/frosting sheets. These images can be used on a variety of frosted treats such as cakes, cupcakes, cookies and more. They melt into the frosting.

Rice/Wafer paper is usually made of potato starch, oil and water while icing sheets are thin layers of white icing pressed hard on a backing paper so that it can be used as standard printer paper. Icing/frosting sheets are usually thicker than wafer/rice papers. Icing/frosting sheets are quite flexible and much less transparent.

Compared to printed wafer/rice paper, printed icing/frosting sheets achieve a more sophisticated and a higher quality image. Wafer/rice paper also won’t melt onto icing so using icing/frosting sheets to decorate your frosted treats, achieves a more uniform and finished look.

Icing/frosting sheets can be used on cakes, cupcakes, cookies, fondant, ice cream cakes and many more frosted treats. The list is endless you can use them on pretty much anything you put frosting on. 

The icing/frosting sheets I use have a shelf life of up to 24 months when stored properly. 

Edible inks (food coloring ink) are used to print the images, some colors may not print with exactly same shades as they appear. This is a known issue with all edible print systems and considered being normal. Colors may vary but will look superior! The colors will also brighten up once they absorb into the frosting. If you are wanting to give a bakery or other outside company the printed edible image to use, please double check with that company about their policies before ordering to make sure they will do it for you as some of them have certain policies on what they are allowed to use. I do NOT claim ownership of any licensed graphics, they are for inspiration only. It is very important to note that copyright restrictions on licensed images only permit graphics to be used for one-time personal use such as birthday parties. Not all bakeries/companies are aware of this policy and if you have issues with a bakery/company refusing to use the edible image, please try another bakery/company or apply the edible image yourself. There will be NO copyright release from me, so please make sure the bakery/company you’ll be using doesn’t need any of this. Yes, you can easily cut or trim the edible images with a clean pair of scissors before you remove the plastic backing sheet.

Yes, the frosting sheets have 1 plastic backing sheet to remove. Once this backing sheet is removed, it is ready to be applied. 

Yes, use a small brush to apply water only where image will be placed. Water outside image area may leave a mark on your fondant (though tend to dry back to normal color).

Yes, you can apply the edible images to any colored frosting but keep in mind that dark colors (chocolate, etc.) may show through the image. In this case I would suggest putting the image on a thin piece of fondant then onto your frosted treat.

Most of the time the bubbles come from not smoothing down the image after you lay it on the cake. After laying the image on the cake work from the center out, small circles then when go back and smooth the sides down on the image. Also make sure your cake is room temperature before applying the edible image.

Once the sheet is fully applied, let it rest for a bit at room temperature and let the cake sweat a bit. Doesn’t take long. This will bring out those air bubbles (hopefully minimal). For the ones that are noticeable you can take a small pin (straight pin) and pop the air bubble and smooth it out – just like you would for air bubbles in fondant. Just a small poke and then you should be able to smooth out the air bubble without wrinkling it.

No frosting sheets are not precut. Icing/frosting sheets are easy to cut/trim with scissors. 

I use full icing/frosting sheets for all my edible image sheets instead of the precut image sheets which allows them to be available in a wider variety of sizes and keeps my prices lower for my customers. 

No, the edible image sheets are not hand cut as I am not perfect at cutting them straight so they are shipped on a frosting sheet, and you can easily cut them out with scissors. 

The size a personal preference. If you know the dimensions of the cake or treats you want to use the edible image(s) on just decide from there how big/small you want the image(s) to be. If you want the image to go all the way around a cake you will need to know the exact measurements length wise all around the cake and then the height that you want it to be. I have lots of different sizes available in the drop-down list and if you need a custom size that you don’t see I can do that as well, just let me know. 

For standard size cupcakes most customers use the 2" round size however the size is a personal preference and just depends on the size of your cupcakes and the size you want the image to be on them.

Most customers use the 1.25" and 1.5" round size for oreos, however the size is a personal preference and just depends on the size you want the image to be on them. Oreos measure 1.75" in diameter. 

Most customers use the 1.5x2" rectangle size however the size is a personal preference and just depends on the size of your rice krispies treats and the size you want the image to be on them.

Most customers use the 1.25" and 1.5" round size for strawberries, however the size is a personal preference and just depends on the size of your strawberries and the size you want the image to be on them. 

Yes, images can be personalized with a message for any occasion. Just put your personalization message in the box on the order form that says, “Personalization Message”. The 1”, 1.25”, and 1.5” round/square sizes will not be personalized due to the size of the images. 

Yes, just add the color you’d like and/or font to the “Personalization Message” box on the order form. If you request a certain font, I will do my best to see if I can get that font but will let you know if I can’t. 

No, personalization is optional and is included, NO extra charge.

If you’d like to see a proof before I print and ship out, please mark the “Yes” box on the order form where it says, “Send Proof”. I will only send you a proof if the “Yes” box is checked and if you requested a personalization message to be written on image.

If you request a proof of your personalized image, it will be typed up and emailed to the email address on your order form within 24-96 hours/1-4 business days (Mon-Fri), excluding postal holidays. Orders may be delayed until proof is approved by you. I want to make sure you are completely happy with the way your image looks.

If you didn’t request any personalization message on your image, then a proof will not be sent as the image will look exactly as shown in sample picture of item. If you did request a personalization message on your image and checked the “Yes” box for a proof, please check your spam/junk mail folder as the proof may have gone there. To avoid this, you can add my email address to your contacts: edibleimages@sweetcustomcreations.com Please also double check that you put a valid email address on the order form. 

If you are requesting a proof to be sent to you before your order is printed and shipped out it will be emailed to the email address on order form within 24-96 hours/1-4 business days (Mon-Fri), excluding holidays. Depending on the time frame that you need the order by I will wait a few days for you to reply back as sometimes emails go to spam/junk mail folders and aren't seen right away. If I don't hear back from you within those few days your order may be printed and shipped out to try to avoid any more delays in receiving your order (this depends on the time frame that you need the order by, which is NOT guaranteed depending on the shipping method that you choose). If you upload a small image or an image that is already blurry or grainy looking, then it will look that way when it’s printed as I don’t have any magic superpowers to make it clearer. It will be the same quality that you send me. 

No, unfortunately due to the large volume of orders I receive daily I will not be able to email you to let you know that your uploaded image is too small/blurry/grainy. Please follow the tips in the item description for custom images or send me a message before placing your order. 

Yes, I have thousands of images that aren’t listed on my website as I don’t have time to list them all due to the volume of orders that I receive daily. I try to get new ones listed daily in my down time however if you don’t see an image on there you can search for the image yourself on google or any internet browser and currently that will be faster than waiting for me to post the ones that I have, sorry for any inconvenience.

Yes, you can however I am only able to do 1 image per sheet due to my software that I use. (Example – if you are ordering the 4x6” rectangles – 2 per sheet, both images on the sheet will need to be the same).

Please do NOT upload an image of a cake that has an image on it or fondant on it unless you want that actual full picture of that cake to be printed on a frosting sheet. As the printed image will look exactly as the full image that you upload. If you are trying to find an image that is on a picture of a cake that you saw and are having trouble, please send me a message first before placing your order and I will let you know if I can find that image. Please allow 24-72 hours for email replies.

Edible images are shipped in sturdy cardboard envelopes with DO NOT BEND stickers on both sides to ensure your topper is not damaged during shipment. Your edible images are sealed in a plastic ziplock bag.

Most orders are processed and shipped out within 1-2 business days; depending on time of day received and volume of daily orders. Please keep in mind processing time may take up to 6 business days if you are requesting a proof or the current workload is busy. Keep the icing/frosting sheet sealed in the ziplock bag that it comes in until you are ready to use it. Store flat on a shelf, at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. The icing/frosting sheets have a shelf life of up to 24 months when stored properly.

No, do NOT put the images in the fridge or freezer before applying them to your frosted treats as it may cause the image to bubble up and dry out which will cause the image to crack. 

If you are using butter cream or any other harder frosting, the image can be placed on at your convenience, but not more than 48 hours prior to the event. Depending on how wet your frosting is, the image will begin to fade with too much moisture. If you are concerned about fading, place the image on the cake within an hour of the event.

Unfortunately once your order has entered the processing stage you will not be able to cancel your order. If you cancel the order before the processing stage there is a 25% cancellation fee to cover the charges I incur. Please ensure you are committed to ordering, as this policy is non-negotiable.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL! I do not accept returns or give refunds on edible images due to the nature of the item. If there is an error on my part I will send you a replacement. I do not give refunds on items that are not received on time due to the postal delays so please choose the appropriate shipping method you need at time of checkout.

Images are packaged and protected very well, and I have an extremely low rate of damages. However, it does occur on occasion. If your product is damaged during shipment, please email me a photo of the damaged edible image to orders@sweetcustomcreations.com and you will receive a replacement edible image or a store credit minus shipping cost. Please also file a damage claim with USPS/UPS.

What if I messed up while applying the image? No replacements or refunds will be given for damages caused while applying the edible image so please read the detailed instructions carefully and ask any questions before applying.

A digital file is a file that is emailed to you (the buyer), and you can print it out yourself or take it to a photo lab/bakery to have it printed.

If you accidentally chose “digital file” as the type of image on order form and you want the physical edible image shipped to you, please let me know immediately. If I didn’t process your order and send you the digital file then I can change it for you no problem.
